The role includes supervising daily stewarding operations, assigning tasks, training staff, monitoring hygiene and HACCP compliance, managing cleaning schedules, and ensuring proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment. Whether you’re here for a game, a concert, or a special gathering, expect an experience filled with smiles, fun, and lasting memories.Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipmentMaintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and workstationsCollect and properly dispose of trash and food wasteEnsure cleaning supplies are stocked and stored safelyFollow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP where applicable)Assist in preventing cross-contamination by maintaining clean work areasComply with health and safety regulations at all timesAssist chefs and kitchen staff with basic tasks when neededHelp with receiving, storing, and organizing food suppliesTransport kitchen equipment and food items as requiredOperate dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment safelyReport damaged or malfunctioning equipment to supervisorsPerform routine cleaning and maintenance of kitchen toolsEnsure the kitchen is ready before, during, and after serviceWork efficiently during peak hoursFollow instructions from supervisors and kitchen managementHigh school diploma or equivalent (hospitality certification is an advantage)Proven experience as a Kitchen Steward or similar role, with supervisory experience preferredStrong knowledge of kitchen sanitation, hygiene standards, and HACCP proceduresAbility to lead, train, and motivate a stewarding teamFamiliarity with proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and chemicalsGood understanding of health, safety, and food handling regulationsAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environmentStrong organizational and time-management skillsGood communication and basic reporting skillsPhysically fit and able to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasksAt OVG, we understand that to continue positively disrupting the sports and live entertainment industry, we need a diverse team to help us do it.
