AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.As a SkillBridge Industrial/Personnel Security Intern with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:Collaborate with a team of motivated, talented, and supportive professionals Develop innovative solutions for complex challenges Work with state-of-the-art technologiesEvaluate the design and performance of advanced Information Technology-based systems Install, configure, and test server hardware (including CPUs, RAM, hard drives, and network cards) for our training simulator systems Assemble and install simulator components such as computer racks, computers, network infrastructure, and support systems—ensuring optimal airflow and effective cable managementAssist with hardware upgrades, replacements, and repairs as neededReview and assess technical documentation to verify equipment suitability in system designs Create and update technical requirements, specify system components, and draft technical drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools Coordinate andparticipatein system installation, interface testing, operational performance verification, troubleshooting, technical issue evaluations, and the preparation of technical reports and presentationsEligible for SkillBridge Participation: Candidates must meet Department of Defense (DOD) SkillBridge eligibility guidelines.
