Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Ashtabula, Ohio. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who excels in managing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting with accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities: u2022 Process in-house payroll for approximately 30 employees, ensuring accurate deductions and garnishments are applied. u2022 Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including timely processing of invoices and payments. u2022 Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, ensuring financial data is accurate and up-to-date. u2022 Create financial statements, accruals, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations. u2022 Collaborate with external accounting firms for year-end tax filings while maintaining independent financial reports. u2022 Utilize accounting software systems such as Microsoft Excel and Great Plains for daily operations. u2022 Analyze cash flow and assist in annual budget preparation to support organizational financial goals. u2022 Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations in all bookkeeping activities. u2022 Provide support and training for billing processes as needed. u2022 Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive financial information. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in payroll processing, including managing deductions and garnishments. u2022 Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable operations. u2022 Strong knowledge of general ledger, financial statement preparation, and reconciliations. u2022 Familiarity with computerized accounting systems, including Great Plains and Microsoft Excel. u2022 Ability to analyze cash flow and contribute to budget planning. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and external partners. u2022 Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial operations.
