What you'll do... u2022 Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for build system enhancements. u2022 Drive architectural decisions for build system improvements. u2022 Design and implement solutions to improve build reproducibility, reliability and efficiency. u2022 Develop and maintain build automation tools and scripts. u2022 Manage and maintain build infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. u2022 Implement and maintain build security practices, including artifact signing and vulnerability scanning. u2022 Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and regulatory requirements. u2022 Document build processes, configurations, and architectural decisions. u2022 Provide support for build-related issues and incidents. u2022 Conduct regular reviews of build system architecture and recommend enhancements. u2022 Establish and maintain build metrics and KPIs. u2022 Optimize build performance and implement monitoring and alerting systems. u2022 Manage relationships with third-party vendors and oversee code integration processes. u2022 Drive adoption of best practices across development teams. u2022 Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members. You'll have... u2022 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM, or equivalent professional experience. u2022 5+ years of experience with Yocto build systems. u2022 5+ years of experience with CMake. u2022 2+ years of experience with Bazel. u2022 2+ years of development experience with C/C++. u2022 Knowledge of C/C++ compiler toolchains and cross-compilation. u2022 Expert-level understanding of Git and version control strategies. u2022 Scripting experience in Python and Bash. u2022 Experience with containerization technologies and tools: Docker, Podman, and Buildah. u2022 Implementation of CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions/GitLab CI. u2022 Strong knowledge of Linux internals. u2022 Understanding of build security practices and artifact signing. u2022 Experience with build performance optimization and metrics collection. Even better, you may have... u2022 Master's degree in Computer Science or other STEM focus areas with prior experience as an embedded software developer. u2022 Experience with AOSP build system. u2022 Experience with Android repo tools. u2022 Experience with embedded systems development and multiple target architectures. u2022 Programming experience in Rust and Rust toolchains. u2022 Experience with additional build systems like Jenkins or TeamCity. u2022 Knowledge of automotive industry standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE). u2022 Experience with monitoring and observability tools for build systems. u2022 Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements for embedded systems. u2022 Experience with vulnerability scanning and security tooling. u2022 Knowledge of branching strategies and release management processes.
