Job Details: Job Description: Intel's Foundry Automation group is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer - Government Programs. In this role, you will focus on server hardware management, lifecycle management, and operating systems (Linux and Windows). You will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of data center servers, ensuring system stability, performance, and security in alignment with key initiatives driving Intel Foundry's success. Your expertise in server hardware will be essential for optimizing our hardware infrastructure and supporting operational efficiency. Responsibilities Include: u2022 Overseeing the full server lifecycle, from landing and provisioning to maintenance, in a data center environment. u2022 Troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues on servers, storage, and operating systems (Linux, Windows). u2022 Using tools such as iLO (Integrated Lights-Out) and BMC (Baseboard Management Controller). u2022 Ensure the installation and maintenance of firmware and drivers for server hardware to optimize performance and compatibility across systems. u2022 Managing server builds, including provisioning via PXE boot and other automated deployment technologies. u2022 Configuring and maintaining hardware components, including various storage drives (HDD, SSD, NVMe) and ensuring optimal network and storage connectivity. u2022 Collaborating with network, storage, and security teams to support infrastructure needs and resolve cross-functional technical issues. u2022 Conducting OS patching, upgrades, and configuration changes to maintain system security and efficiency. u2022 Monitoring and optimizing server performance, capacity planning, and hardware utilization. u2022 Supporting backup, data integrity, and disaster recovery processes in line with best practices. u2022 Documenting procedures, configurations, and changes for server and hardware management. u2022 Staying current with emerging server technologies and practices for continuous improvement of data center operations. u2022 Some travel may be required. The ideal candidate should demonstrate: u2022 Expertise in server hardware (HPE, Dell), including different drive types (HDD, SSD, NVMe), network and storage connectivity, and server troubleshooting with tools like iLO and BMC. u2022 Expertise in OS troubleshooting (Linux, Windows). u2022 Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing complex infrastructure issues. u2022 Deep understanding of automated deployment technologies, such as PXE boot, for consistent server builds. u2022 Proficiency in automation using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) for server management. u2022 A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues across multi-functional infrastructure teams. u2022 Excellent documentation skills with a focus on precision and consistency in managing complex systems. Qualifications: Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications : u2022 U.S. citizenship required. u2022 Ability to obtain and maintain US Government TS Security Clearance and SCI access. u2022 Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related STEM field. u2022 4+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering. In addition to the requirements above, you must possess one or more of the skills/experience below : + 2+ years of experience in Linux infrastructure engineering, with an emphasis on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. + 4+ years of experience with on-prem cloud (such as Rancher or Openshift) and virtualization technologies (such as VMware or KubeVirt). + 3+ years of experience in storage configuration for physical and virtualized environments. + 3+ years of experience in Windows Server infrastructure engineering and layered apps (such as Active Directory (AD), DHCP, DNS, MSFC, NLB, Antivirus and Malware Protection/Scanning, MFA, IIS, Patching, Debug Tools, Monitoring, Manageability, PKI, etc).
