Part-Time Medical Receptionist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota on a part-time basis. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless experience for patients while supporting clinic operations. This is a Contract position within the healthcare industry, offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Welcome and check in patients for clinic and radiology appointments, ensuring a friendly and efficient experience. u2022 Provide clear instructions to patients regarding required forms and documentation. u2022 Collect and verify demographic and insurance information, entering details accurately into the NextGen system for billing purposes. u2022 Process patient payments, including co-pays, swiftly and accurately. u2022 Prepare daily charts for scheduled appointments to maintain efficient clinic operations. u2022 Assist patients in scheduling follow-up appointments and provide guidance on the patient portal. u2022 Coordinate interpreter services for patients requiring language assistance. u2022 Update and maintain the provider database within NextGen to ensure accurate tracking of referring providers. u2022 Keep the front office area tidy and organized, including restocking supplies and maintaining a welcoming environment. u2022 Collaborate with clinic staff to support smooth workflows and continuity of care for patients. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in patient registration and medical front office operations. u2022 Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist patients and visitors effectively. u2022 Proficiency in scheduling appointments and managing calendars. u2022 Skilled in accurate data entry and maintaining detailed records. u2022 Familiarity with medical billing systems, specifically NextGen, is preferred. u2022 Ability to organize and manage office supplies efficiently. u2022 Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain forms and processes clearly. u2022 Commitment to working collaboratively with clinic staff and maintaining patient satisfaction.
