JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Title: Painters Steady Work year-round JobDescription Perform painting functions for residential and commercialclients, specializing remodeling and re- construction and existingbuildings. The majority of work involves interior walls but alsoincludes exterior painting. Projects are within a 40-mile radius ofMadison, utilizing brushes, rollers, and spray guns to apply variouspaint coatings to industrial and commercial facilities. ResponsibilitiesPerform painting tasks using brushes, rollers, and spray guns,specifically HPLV Airless Sprayers, on large industrial projects.Prepare surfaces accurately, including cleaning, sanding, and priming.Apply expert knowledge of different painting techniques and materials.Ensure smooth, even finishes with keen attention to detail. Followsafety procedures and use protective gear properly. Read and interpretblueprints or specifications for accurate project execution. Manage timeeffectively to meet project deadlines. Adapt to working on ladders,scaffolding, or in tight spaces, requiring physical stamina anddexterity. Communicate effectively with clients and other contractors.Solve problems and adapt to unexpected challenges on the job. EssentialSkills 2+ years of painting experience. 2+ year of commercial paintingexperience. Proficiency in painting techniques, including airlessspraying, brush and rolling, and cutting in without tape. Experience injob site prep work and clean up. Additional Skills & Qualifications:Experience with multi-family buildings. Coordinate with otherprofessionals, such as contractors, architects, engineers, and plumbers,to ensure job success. Inspect construction work on site to ensure itsadherence to the design plans. Measure and mark surfaces to lay outwork, according to blueprints or drawings, using tape measures,straightedges or squares, and marking devices. Fit and fasten wallboardor drywall into position on wood or metal frameworks, using glue, nails,or screws. Measure and cut openings in panels or tiles for electricaloutlets, windows, vents, plumbing, or other fixtures, using keyhole sawsor other cutting tools. Assemble or install metal framing or decorativetrim for windows, doorways, or vents. Cut metal or wood framing and trimto size, using cutting tools. Inspect furrings, mechanical mountings, ormasonry surfaces for plumbness and level, using spirit or water levels.Cut and screw together metal channels to make floor or ceiling frames,according to plans for the location of rooms or hallways. Hang drywallpanels on metal frameworks of walls and ceilings in offices, schools, orother large buildings, using lifts or hoists to adjust panel heights,when necessary. Trim rough edges from wallboard to maintain even joints,using knives. Coordinate work with drywall finishers who cover the seamsbetween drywall panels. Hang dry lines to wall moldings to guidepositioning of main runners.
