Cloud Network Senior Engineer

Genesis10 is seeking a Cloud Network Senior Engineer. This is an on-site 4-month contract position with a client located in Brooklyn, OH. This role can also be located in Albany, NY or Buffalo, pensation: $35.00 - $50.00/HR W2Job Description:This Lead Network Engineer position will have a primary responsibility for networking security solutions supporting our on-premises and off-premises cloud network services portfolio. Additional responsibilities will include providing lead engineering services supporting routing & switching platforms, load balancer platforms and shared network IP services platforms. The Lead Network engineer will be responsible to work with many diverse organizations at the client to ensure we collaborate and communicate on the planning and delivery of all required technology and LOB solutions. Solid communications skills and the ability to prioritize work efforts are required.Responsibilities:Independently builds, maintains, and documents infrastructure components for work assigned; performs reviews for all levels of engineering.Designs solutions for the overall health, performance, and availability and actively works resolution of system and client experience impacts one or more environments, applications, or platforms.Assigns work, mentors, and trains junior engineers; welcomes and encourages upward feedback and perspectives from all levels of engineering.Advocates for new technology and improvements that will reduce expenses and/or improve efficiency; works cross-functionally to find synergies.Recommends and influences IT standards (e.g. info security, audit, compliance, etc.).Assists in the development of strategies for building and maintaining new and existing solutions and capabilities.Creates technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts to deliver mature monitoring, improved resiliency, and high availability.Proposes high-level infrastructure architectural guidelines. Formulates and designs technical solutions to meet business needs and communicates cross-functionally to ensure viability of solutions.Requirements:Education/Certifications: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or similar 3-5 years' overall IT experience working in a large enterprise environment.3-5 years' experience supporting and maintaining Palo Alto Network Security platforms to include set-up, maintenance, upgrades, and replacement of the latest Palo Alto systems.Experience with Palo Alto firewall rules in a large, shared environmentDemonstrate an ability to craft and understand Palo Alto firewall rule deploymentsExperience with other firewall technologies in Cloud Environments (GCP, Azure, AWS, etc)Knowledge of both LAN/WAN designs and the support processes for large network deploymentsKnowledge of IPSec/VPN technology supporting a large enterpriseExperience with TCPDump, Wireshark and analyzing network traffic3-5 years of hands-on experience with Cisco network technologies3-5 years of hands-on experience with F5 load balancer technologiesDemonstrate a solid understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP network modelsExperience in custom SSL, ciphers, and security traffic performance optimizationIn-depth knowledge of networking and systems administration; and the ability to troubleshoot problemsProgramming experience with Python, Ansible and Terraform for automation servicesOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please applyAbout Genesis10:Ranked a Top Staffing Firm in the U.S. by Staffing Industry Analysts for six consecutive years, Genesis10 puts thousands of consultants and employees to work across the United States every year in contract, contract
