Systems Engineer (Hardware/Firmware) Level 2

Description: What You Will Be Doing: Reporting to the F-35 ALIS Product Engineering & Sustainment Manager, the selected candidate will serve as a Product Sustainment Systems Engineer within the Sustainment Integrated Tools & Engineering (SITE) organization. This position will support the sustainment of F-35 locations worldwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of COTS hardware/software and firmware products across several concurrent development and sustainment baselines, all in different stages of the engineering lifecycle. Additionally, they will help manage the delivery of Low Level System Software (LLSS) - drivers, BIOS, firmware packages to impacted F-35 maintenance systems ALIS/ODIN hardware products across the enterprise. The selected candidate will have a strong background in engineering processes and best practices, and will be responsible for the development of integrated processes for managing sustainment actions throughout the product lifecycle (both planning and execution phases). Basic Qualifications: u2022 Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance u2022 Experience in engineering processes u2022 Familiarity with sustainment and/or product lifecycle and deployment of product updates Desired Skills: u2022 Ability to collaborate and integrate with high performance multi-functional teams u2022 Good verbal & written communication skills to different levels of the organization including external customers, and the ability to create presentation material for recurring meetings u2022 Detail orientated, flexible, and adaptable u2022 Working knowledge of Microsoft products u2022 Sustainment Engineering experience u2022 Knowledge of JSF F-35 Autonomic Logistic Information System/Operational Data Integrated Network (ALIS/ODIN) system u2022 Self-starter who identifies problems, determines and acts on courses of action, and escalates to leadership when help, direction or approval needed u2022 Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
