Qualified candidates may begin work as soon as tomorrow.??u00a0Weekend availability required -- must be able to work weekends.------------------------------------------------------------------------ What We Offer- Weekly pay -- $17.50/hour DOE- Direct deposit & debit card payment options- Health, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance- Training provided- Temp-to-hire opportunity with a local company------------------------------------------------------------------------ Job Duties & Responsibilities- Provide professional, friendly, and efficient customer service in person and over the phone- Answer and manage incoming calls, emails, and customer inquiries- Assess customer needs and provide accurate solutions and product recommendations- Proactively up-sell and cross-sell products- Generate sales leads from incoming calls- Ring up customer purchases and handle returns/refunds- Measure and cut wood accurately using a tape measure- Assist in the yard with stacking lumber and organizing inventory- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment- Keep aisles free of trip hazards and perform daily cleaning tasks- Record and document customer interactions and account updates- Meet or exceed individual and team performance goals- Follow all customer service procedures and safety policies------------------------------------------------------------------------ Shift & Schedule- Day Shift: 6:55 AM -- 3:30 PM (start time may vary)- Monday -- Saturday (days off may change)- Must be flexible and able to work weekends------------------------------------------------------------------------ Qualifications & Requirements- Previous customer service, sales, or client support experience preferred- Lumber or hardware experience strongly preferred- Must be willing to assist in the yard when needed- Must be able to read and use a tape measure- Excellent phone communication and customer service skills- Basic computer skills (data entry, call tracking, customer profiles)- Strong time management and multitasking abilities- Valid driver's license required (deliveries once hired on permanently)- Reliable transportation required- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including THC/marijuana)- Must be able to pass a background check- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.------------------------------------------------------------------------ About Ascend StaffingAscend Staffing has been connecting great people with real job opportunities for over 50 years.
