Sr. Cost Analyst (Remote-Eastern Region)

The Senior Cost Analyst leads the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of product costing, standard cost systems and margin analysis to drive profitable manufacturing decisions. This role involves ensuring accurate costs, monitoring variances, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities to optimize production costs and improve financial performance This is a Remote role. Must be within Eastern Standard Time. Intermittent visits to the Duncansville, PA facility will be expected as needed (estimated 1 time per Quarter) Responsibilities u2022 Serves as the primary finance owner for inventory management & standard cost, maintaining accurate standard and actual product costs across multiple product lines and business segments u2022 Monitor and investigate variances between actual costs and standard costs, providing actionable insights and recommendations u2022 Formulate new policies and practices to enhance inventory accuracy and accountability u2022 Define, develop and maintain complex cost models, aggregate data for inventory valuation and provide in-depth analysis u2022 Develop and maintain the Excess and Obsolete Inventory model and drive action plan with cross functional teams u2022 Lead PPV/VAVE performance through reporting and working with the operations team to develop action plans and countermeasures u2022 Lead the coordination, planning and execution for the Physical Inventory u2022 Factory finance Liaison for all SOX Audit, Annual Audit and Physical Inventory Audit u2022 Establish and maintain robust financial controls within the manufacturing environment. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. u2022 Develop and maintain standard costs for products. u2022 Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives and process improvements u2022 Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost modelling to support strategic decision-making. u2022 Conduct account reconciliations and analysis and drive process improvements to remove waste u2022 Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to inventory and cost accounting u2022 Implement and improve cost control tools, processes, and systems u2022 Special projects as required Required Skills / Qualifications / Certifications / Tech Stack u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required. CPA or CMA certification preferred. u2022 Minimum of 5 yearsu2019 experience in inventory control in manufacturing. u2022 Strong Cost Accounting background u2022 Must have analytical rigor and communication skills translating data into recommendations leaders can act on u2022 Must have thorough understanding of ERP system (Dynamics AX/365) u2022 Must be able to work independently. Must be detailed, logical and accuracy oriented. u2022 Must be able to work as a team player. u2022 Must have an ability to meet deadlines. u2022 Must be proficient in planning, organizing and prioritizing assignments. u2022 Must have an ability to multitask. u2022 Must have Continuous improvement mindset The base compensation range for this position is $90,000-$115,000 per annum. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon numerous factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
