Job Summary The APP Specialty at Prevea is anAdvanced Practice Nurse (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), who providespecialized healthcare services tailored to the specific department.This role operates within the scope of the specific specialty departmentand includes but isn't limited to collaborating and coordinating withphysicians and other health professionals regarding clinical practice,education, consultation, research and program development. What you willdo Provides assessment, evaluation, and management to patients that mayinclude but is not limited to minor, acute, chronic, & episodic illness& injuries. Including performance of follow up exams if required.Collaborates with patients to review their health background andwellness provide health counseling and education to determinephysiological, emotional, and environmental needs, using thisinformation to advise patients and their families on future health plansand illness prevention. Provides follow-up services as appropriate toassigned specialty, which may include the ordering of appropriatediagnostic and laboratory tests, the prescription of pharmacologicalagents, and other non-pharmacological treatment modalities. Maintainsand reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information,documenting all details in the electronic medical record. Collaboratewith physicians and other providers to develop and implement patientcare plans to ensure the best possible care and outcomes of patients.Provides case management services to assist clients and families withthe arrangement for, or refer patients to needed services. EducationQualifications Graduate of a master's level nurse practitioner programOR from and accredited physician assistant program. Required ExperienceQualifications 1-3 years work experience in a clinical setting within ahealth care organization Preferred 1 year of Dermatology experiencepreferred Skills and Abilities Understanding of the specialtydepartment's information and techniques necessary for diagnosing andtreating human injuries and diseases, including symptom recognition,treatment methods, medication properties and interactions, as wellas...
