Human Resources Support Job ID:5488627 Starting Date:Immediately GENERALSUMMARY Provides primary support to the Human Resources Department.Works with the HR Administrators and the HR Analysts in support of allHR functions, projects, district initiatives, HR projects and HR goals.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The above position is illustrativeof the tasks and responsibilities. It is not meant to be all-inclusiveof every task or responsibility. The description does not constitute anemployment agreement between the Springfield Public Schools and theemployee and is subject to change by the Springfield Public Schools asthe needs and requirements of the job change. Processes new hires,transfers, salary changes, resignations and retirements to severaldifferent bargaining units within the MUNIS system. Assists with theverification of applicants and staff to ensure certification andlicensure are valid. Assists with documentation, tracking and reportingof such. Updates education levels from original transcripts into MUNISsystem Gathers and reviews Loan Forgiveness forms that have beensubmitted by employees. Assists with the documentation, tracking andreporting of Loan Forgiveness forms. Reviews and assists with processingnew hire or termination paperwork for all employees Schedules and meetswith new hires to review and submit their paperwork to the HumanResources Analyst Functions include, mailing, filing and scanning fornew hires, transfers, changes, salary changes, resignations andretirements Contacts employees to report for hiring sessions, meets withthem to verify accuracy and completion of paperwork and processesrelevant documentation Answers questions and distributes forms to theappropriate departments such as payroll, benefits and retirement.Performs administrative duties which includes answering phone, scanning,performing word processing, operating office machines and technology andorganizing and maintaining files. Access or exposure to confidentialinformation Performs related duties of a similar nature and level asassigned. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education and ExperienceAssociate's degree in Business, Administration, Human Resources, orrelated field. Minimum 1-2 years' experience, including experience inoffice setting handling confidential and sensitive information.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES Knowledge of contracts Knowledge of newhire forms Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high demandeducational environment with time-sensitive deadlines. Ability to use(or learn to use) computer software and systems applicable to theposition Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, anddraw valid conclusions Ability to exercise good judgment and focus ondetail as required by the job Ability to establish and maintainconstructive and cooperative interpersonal relationships with staff,peers, supervisors, or managers in the work unit and other departments,as well as with staff of outside entities and other individuals, asapplicable to the essential duties and responsibilities CORE KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Skill in utilizing interpersonal skills to relateand interact with a diverse population Skill in detail oriented planningand able to set priorities, objectives, and meet deadlines Ability toprovide positive and effective customer service Ability to adapt to andaccommodate new methods and procedures Ability to work independently oras a member of a team Ability to apply listening skills, work underpressure, address conflict and solve problems Ability to read, analyzeand interpret standard, policies, procedures and regulations Ability toeffectively present information using attention to detail and accuracyAbility to exercise good judgment Ability to operate standard officeequipment Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
