This position holds comprehensive responsibility for all phases of the project lifecycle, including design development, submittal preparation, client approvals, and procurement of materials. The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance with project specifications and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety in field operations.u003c/pu003eu003chru003eu003ch3u003eu003cstrongu003ePrimary Responsibilities:u003c/strongu003eu003c/h3u003eu003culu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eLead the design development process for assigned steel structure repair projects, with a thorough understanding of the inspection, engineering, and repair workflow.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eCoordinate all design, drafting, and modeling activities by managing internal resources and external consultants effectively.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003ePrepare, review, and maintain structural calculations that adhere to applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eLiaise with vendors and fabricators to ensure the selection of cost-effective materials and construction methods without compromising quality.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eCollaborate with Business Development and Product Management teams to identify new opportunities, contribute to proposal efforts, and support pilot initiatives through on-site evaluations and technical reporting.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eSupport research and development (Ru0026D) efforts through participation in field tests, data collection, analysis, and report generation.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eContribute to design methodology discussions and design reviews in coordination with engineering colleagues.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eProvide technical guidance to field teams regarding new repair methodologies and ensure adherence to project-specific requirements.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eAssist the Engineering Manager in the formulation and implementation of drawing standards, technical specifications, and best practices for steel structure repairs.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003c/ulu003eu003chru003eu003ch3u003eu003cstrongu003eRequired Qualifications:u003c/strongu003eu003c/h3u003eu003culu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (with a structural emphasis preferred) from an ABET-accredited institution.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eMinimum of 5-6 years of experience in structural engineering design and analysis.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eCurrent Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or the ability to obtain licensure within six (6) months of employment.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eProficiency with structural analysis and finite element software (e.g., Abaqus, Ansys, PLS-CADD, RISA 3D, tnxTower) is desirable.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eProficient in AutoCAD (both 2D and 3D design).u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eSolid understanding of applicable industry codes and standards, including AISC, ACI, and ASCE.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eExperience in the design of power and/or telecommunications utility structures is strongly preferred.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly and professionally to clients, vendors, and internal teams.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eWillingness to travel overnight and work flexible hours, including under adverse environmental conditions.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003c/ulu003eu003chru003eu003ch3u003eu003cstrongu003eWork Environment:u003c/strongu003eu003c/h3u003eu003culu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eThe role involves work in both office and field environments, with moderate noise levels typical of each setting.u003c/pu003eu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eu003cpu003eSpecific physical demands include frequent standing, walking, stair climbing, and use of hands for detailed work;
