From the front counter to tailored solutions, you'll be at the heart of our success.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales Support Maintain professional, courteous communication with customers before, during, and after salesProvide knowledgeable product support and resolve issues efficientlyAssist walk-in customers and handle inquiries or complaints promptlyDrive profitable sales through effective selling, upselling, and cross-sellingOrder Management & CommunicationEnter orders, pricing, and customer data into systems accuratelyRespond to orders and quote requests via multiple channels (phone, email, fax, etc.)Collaborate with outside sales reps and internal teams to fulfill customer needsInventory & Showroom Operations Maintain stock levels, organize the showroom, and support physical inventoriesSchedule and coordinate inbound/outbound deliveries and shipping logisticsNegotiate freight rates and manage inventory movement efficientlyCash Handling & System UseOperate and balance the cash register and drawer daily using proper proceduresUtilize management software for billing, reporting, and project trackingProduct & Project KnowledgeMaintain up-to-date product expertiseManage documentation and order details for large or complex projectsLogistics & Operations CoordinationCoordinate deliveries with Operations staffCoordinate purchase and delivery of special products. Obtain information on pricing specifications, uses and availabilitySafety Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environmentFollow all safety protocols and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environmentUse proper lifting techniquesAdheres to all driving regulations based on state and/or jurisdiction policies such as wearing a seatbeltWear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothingTrainings Must attend all required meetings in relation to sales and all company required training programsPhysical RequirementsFrequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulationOccasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying approximately 50 lbs. utilizing proper lifting proceduresOccasional driving or sitting in a truck, forklift or other similar equipmentAdditional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assignedMiscellaneous Support our values in the stated areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customersOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required2+ years inside sales experience (incoming call preferred)Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone mannerAbility to focus on different tasks and use time efficiently to achieve desired outcomesFamiliarity with Windows operating systemsWarehouse work which includes forklift experience/trainingReports ToBranch ManagerBenefitsAt FBM, we’re committed to supporting our employees both personally and professionally.
