Job Description

Monte Rosa Therapeutics is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to play a key role in the Company’s SEC reporting, audit management, and SOX 404(b) implementation. This position will also support income tax provision activities and month-end close procedures. The ideal candidate will bring strong public company reporting experience, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic biotech environment.SEC Reporting & Technical AccountingPrepare quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and related disclosuresPrepare financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAPSupport the quarterly and annual income tax provision, including tax-related financial statement disclosures, in coordination with external tax advisorsAssist with technical accounting research and preparation of accounting position memos for complex or non-routine transactionsSupport implementation and documentation of new accounting standards and updatesMaintain and enhance accounting policies and proceduresAssist with disclosure for the quarterly provision for income taxesAudit & SOX ComplianceServe as a liaison with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual auditsCoordinate audit requests, prepare supporting documentation, and resolve audit inquiriessupport the implementation of SOX 404(b), including control design, documentation, testing, and remediationAssist in maintaining effective internal controls over financial reportingMonth-End CloseParticipate in the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysesEnsure accurate and timely close in accordance with internal deadlinesCollaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, Tax, and other stakeholdersBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred4-7+ years of relevant accounting experienceHands-on experience with SEC reporting in a public company environment a plusStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controlsExperience with SOX 404(b) implementation or compliance strongly preferredPublic accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm) preferredLife sciences or biotech industry experience a plusStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
