TEC truly offers the convenience of one-stop shopping for all trucking-related needs.The Refrigeration (Reefer) Technician is responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of refrigeration units on trailers and trucks. This includes performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, and ensuring that units operate efficiently and meet all DOT and customer standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with reefer systems and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and timely service. A Refrigeration Technician for TEC Equipment Leasing is responsible for delivering a customer experience in the Service department that ensures TEC is truly recognized as our customers’ Best Business Partner.Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on refrigerated units (reefers) as well as standards trailer components. (E.g., brakes, lights, suspension, air systems.)Perform basic system checks such as power to compressor, condenser obstructions, belt tension, etc. Ability to identify refrigerant and oil leaks, as well as operate charging and recovery equipment.Verify unit’s performance by conducting tests and adjusting controls & systems.Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
