Offering an unmatched, 360-degree solution set for a collection of world-class owned venues and a client roster that includes the most influential, highest attended arenas, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions on the planet.The Kitchen Prep Cook is responsible for preparing menu items according to standard recipes as well as maintain quality and taste assurance in all food items.The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable event-driven schedule which includes evenings and weekends. Open availability, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills, self-direction and strong management and independent decision-making skills are required.In light of the seasonal and event-driven nature of our business, the position will run from mid- February until the end of March for the Spring Training season, with ability to return when event season begins again next Winter. Schedule varies depending on game time and attendance.This is a seasonal role from February 1, 2026 and will end on April 1, 2026.This role pays an hourly rate of $25.00-$30.00This position will remain open until April 1, 2026.Oak View Group is the exclusive food, beverage, and merchandise provider for Salt River Fields, the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Colorado Rockies Spring Training!Prepping, portioning, arranging, and garnishing foodGrilling and short order cookingFood stocking, rotating, labeling, dating, and temperature taking of food productsAble to operate a variety of kitchen equipment and push full hot boxesHave good knife skills and ability to use a cut gloveMaintaining a clean and organized work areaAnything else assigned by the Executive ChefSome level of culinary degree, certifications or experience requiredAbility to adjust to high pressure situations and be open to change, able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, accuracy and take directionAbility to work an event-driven schedule including weekdays, weekends, morning and evening shiftsMust provide regular and consistent written availability to managementKnowledge of food safety and sanitation regulationsMust obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Card from ServSafe, and other required compliance trainingsAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.Strong communication skills to interact with employees, management, and guests in a professional and respectful mannerAbility to stand and walk (possibly extended distances); ability to bend and climb stairs when necessaryPhysical ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as boxes and equipmentAt OVG, we understand that to continue positively disrupting the sports and live entertainment industry, we need a diverse team to help us do it.
