The position is primarily responsible for the changeover in the arena and performing arts center from one event to another. Additionally, a member of the Operations Changeover Crew may be involved in other aspects of building maintenance to include painting, trash disposal, exterior facility care, snow removal, furniture moving, etc. This responsibility requires physical labor and heavy lifting and therefore has lifting requirements. The Operations Changeover Crew is a vital componentof the arena and performing arts center in responding to the needs of promoters and clients - a positive attitude and a positive appearance are essential. This role pays an hourly rate of $16.75Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matchingEVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.FUNCTIONS (including, but not limited to):Participate in all aspects of the conversion process for events.Setting-upand tearing down flooring, hockey glass, chairs, barricades, staging, tables, and other furnishings and equipment. Responsible for the physical setup of all areas around the Arena including chairs, tables, staging, furnishings and equipment for sporting and live eventsResponding to promoter/clients’ needs as by the onsite building manager.Assist, when necessary, with pre/post event cleaning, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, carpet cleaning.Meet the physical demands of this job, which include being able to get in and around the facility, bending, lifting, carrying, moving, climbing, working from various heights, and moderate to loud noises. Work boots and gloves arerequired for all shifts.Maintain outside grounds including parking areas, entrances, and event plaza. Snow removal of outsideareaisrequired. Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as needed such as painting, patching, and other conversion related operational equipment.Maintain an effective working relationship with other departments, clients, and patrons encounteredinthe course of employment. Work effectively under pressure andstringentschedule to produceaccurateresults. Actively care for all arena equipment and property by storing, cleaning, and maintaining changeover equipmentRespond and resolve set-up issues promptly as directed by fellow staff and managementOther duties as assigned.To perform this job successfully, an individual mustpossessthe ability to perform all essential duties and responsibilities in a satisfactory manner. Ability to work under deadlines dictated by event schedules and project timetables. Ability to work independently and as a team. Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form. Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
