He/She/They will play an integral role in membership development and retention, as well as ensuring the financial profitability of the Meadows Golf Course.The Head Golf Professional will always conduct themselves in manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort:Trust,Open & Honest Communication, andCommitment.He/She/They shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!Creates and maintains an exceptional golf and social experience for Sunriver Golf Club Members and Resort GuestsManage all functions of the Meadows Golf Shop and operationsOperates and maintains a reputable pro shop and practice rangeIn partnership with the VP of Operations, provides leadership for all golf tournaments and events, while working closely with event coordinators and management teamCoordinate and execute all Member events planned by Club ManagementResponsible for increasing Member retention by fostering relationships between Members, increasing Member participation and increasing revenues per MemberAccurately answer any Member questions regarding their Membership AccountPay all invoices in a timely and accurate mannerMonitor time punches in UKG, ensuring accurate payroll for Meadows Golf staffSupervises the proper charging of green fees and season privilege feesProvides competent golf instructions for all groups and levels of playersManages Rental program, ensuing proper maintenance of equipmentSupervises the operation of the handicap systemEffectively coordinates golf tournamentsSupervises the performance, attendance, attitudes, appearance and conduct of golf maintenance staffMaintains a professional image for self and team in keeping with the high standards of a first class resortMaintains a strong morale and spirit throughout team Finish Responsible for reinforcement of department and company standards through trainingCompletes all proper new hire and termination paperworkRecommends discipline and/or termination when appropriateWorks with HR to recruit and hire staffManages timely completion of performance reviewsPrepares operating and capital budgets for the Meadows golf course and ensures operation within those guidelinesUtilizes labor management tools to schedule and control labor costsMaintains safe and pleasant work environmentPrepares and conducts staff meetings as requiredResponsible for equipment purchase, storage, inventory and maintenanceMaintains strong knowledge of hospitality trends, focusing on golfComplies with all Sunriver Resort’s policies, procedures and safety regulationsMaintains a strong knowledge of emergency proceduresInstills a calm, organized approach in all stressful situationsAttends appropriate resort, division and department meetingsResponsible for the achievement of department goals and objectivesProvides general resort information for guestsOffers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests including use of guest name when possible & good eye contact with each guestInteracts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments when necessaryAlways maintains a professional demeanor and attitudeCommunicates all pertinent information to the Meadows teamsMaintains a professional appearance. Follows all Sunriver Resort dress code standardsRemains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all timesPerforms other duties as assignedHigh school education or equivalent requiredFour year degree in Business Administration /Marketing & Professional Golf Management preferredPGA Class A member in good standing requiredStrong knowledge of the game of golf requiredAbility to play golf at a reasonable level requiredPrior high-end private golf club experience preferredAt least two years management experience preferredMust have a valid drivers license and meet company driving standards
