The key focus areas for this internship will be in Field Accounting, Operations, Budget Management and Payroll. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to apply the skills they have learned and apply them in a professional setting. Qualifications : u2022 Must be pursuing a degree in accounting or finance majors u2022 Must be undergraduate student u2022 General interest and knowledge u2022 Computer skills including intermediate level proficiency in MS Word and Excel u2022 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive for excellence and high performance. u2022 Strong desire for continuous learning and process improvements in working with people and technology. u2022 Strong interpersonal, analytical, listening and verbal communication skills u2022 Excellent time management and organizational skills Job Responsibilities (May include any or all) : _Field Accounting Experience:_ u2022 Review Contracts for Entry into Database u2022 Review Charitable Contributions and audit receipts u2022 Conduct Payroll Accrual Validations u2022 Review activity on Closed Cost Centers u2022 Maintain Maintenance Requests from field operations u2022 Conduct Paperwork Audits u2022 Assist with Monthly Close _Operation Experience:_ u2022 Assist with Local New Unit Openings under the Guidance of FA New Business Finance Experience: u2022 Support Budget Review and Analysis u2022 Assist with Flash Review and Analysis _Payroll Experience:_ u2022 Gain Knowledge of the Paperwork and Activities of the Team through Filing u2022 Gain Knowledge of Document Retention through Scanning u2022 Process Payroll Work Orders u2022 May compile records to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to the operation of the business. u2022 Verifies, allocates and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from documents, such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, unit reports, check stubs and computer printouts. u2022 May compute type and mail monthly statements to customers. u2022 May prepare tax reports. u2022 May complete records to or through trial balances. u2022 Assists the Controller with reports and weekly closing procedures.
