Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client's team for a 2 months or so contract. In this role, you will primarily focus on auditing daily cash allocations and reconciling cash activities to ensure accuracy and compliance. This position is based in Cypress, California, and offers a hybrid work environment with 2-3 days in the office after training. Responsibilities: u2022 Audit daily cash allocations to verify accuracy and ensure proper application. u2022 Perform thorough reconciliations of cash activity to maintain up-to-date financial records. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve discrepancies in cash applications. u2022 Utilize SAP or other comparable ERP systems to manage accounts receivable tasks efficiently. u2022 Monitor payment portals and oversee credit card transactions to streamline customer communications. u2022 Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes. u2022 Work closely with customers to address inquiries related to their accounts. u2022 Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized accounts receivable ledger. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards throughout all processes. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles. u2022 Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems, with a strong understanding of AR modules. u2022 Demonstrated ability to perform cash reconciliations and cash applications accurately. u2022 Familiarity with payment portals and credit card transaction processing. u2022 Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to identify and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and internal teams. u2022 Ability to work independently and adapt to a hybrid work environment. u2022 Knowledge of accounting standards and best practices for accounts receivable processes.
