Take ownership as Engineer of Record, guiding teams and collaborating with senior design professionals. Interface directly with clients and local code officials to ensure compliance and excellence. Use AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create 3D BIM models and design systems such as fire alarms, smoke and leak detection, security, and intrusion detection. Apply Life Safety & Fire codes and industry standards to produce calculations, specifications, network diagrams, and detailed construction deliverables in both 2D and 3D formats.What Weu2019re Looking For Experience in fire protection engineering and life safety systems design. Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP. Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering At least 4 years of AutoCAD design experience Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA101 Life Safety Code and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code Knowledge and application of NFPA 70 (NEC) and electrical design requirements Knowledge and application of NFPA 400 Hazardous Materials Code Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems and manufacturersu2019 equipment, including VESDA systems Design experience with Fire Alarm, VESDA systems, security CCTV, HPM and Leak Detection Knowledge of design and construction specifications Experience estimating and scheduling mid-to-large-scale projectsIdeally, youu2019ll also have: Professional Engineering (PE) license Experience leading projects and managing resources Experience mentoring junior staff Design Management experience Design experience in semiconductor or data centers Working knowledge of 3D BIM software (Revit)#afelectronics #fireprotection #LI-MP1Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
