Network Engineer

Description We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Neenah, Wisconsin. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing network infrastructure for a steel manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in network operations, troubleshooting, and system monitoring to ensure seamless connectivity and performance. Responsibilities: u2022 Design, configure, and implement network solutions including switches, routers, and firewalls. u2022 Perform comprehensive troubleshooting to resolve network issues and maintain operational efficiency. u2022 Manage and monitor network systems using advanced tools to ensure peak performance. u2022 Collaborate with team members to continuously improve network infrastructure. u2022 Configure and maintain VLANs to optimize traffic flow and enhance security. u2022 Administer VMware technologies to support virtualized infrastructure. u2022 Analyze network traffic and performance to identify areas for improvement. u2022 Ensure customer satisfaction by providing prompt and effective technical support. u2022 Implement and manage network security protocols to safeguard sensitive data. u2022 Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures for reference and training. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in network engineering. u2022 Proficiency in working with Cisco routers and switches, including VLAN configurations. u2022 Expertise in Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls. u2022 Strong knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and network traffic analysis. u2022 Hands-on experience with VMware infrastructure and technologies. u2022 Ability to use advanced monitoring tools for system diagnostics and performance tracking. u2022 Familiarity with Juniper routers and basic troubleshooting techniques. u2022 Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and satisfaction.
