FTE: 0.925000 Standard Hours: 37.00 Shift: 1 Schedule: DirectRole: This patient facing role is primarily responsible for performinghands on patient care and supporting providers while in clinic. Typicaldaily duties include but are not limited to, interacting with ourpatients while performing standard rooming, taking vitals, administeringvaccines, setting up and turning over rooms, specimen collection, andassisting providers as needed. Job Summary The Medical Assistant(MA/MA Sr) is a healthcare professional and an essential member of thepatient-centered healthcare team. The MA/MA Sr is instrumental inhelping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the providerthroughout the patient's visit. Compensation for the positions below is based on marketand experience including those with active certification or licensure.Licenses & Certifications and Educational Requirements Medical Assistant(MA): Education: High school diploma (or GED) required plus one of thefollowing: Completion of an MA program, or Completion of anEMT-Basic course, or Trained on the job MA AND one year experience inhealth care, or Completion of an MA Apprentice program Certification:American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the HealthcareProviders (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent required within 90 days ofhire. Experience: 1 year of healthcare experience preferred. MedicalAssistant Senior (MA Sr): Education: HS Diploma or GED is required.Certification: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support forthe Healthcare Providers (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is requiredwithin 90 days of hire.
