Accounts Payable Manager

Description Our client is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and optimize the accounts payable operations within our organization. This role requires expertise in managing high-volume invoice processing, vendor payments, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies. Based in Memphis, Tennessee, this position offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic team and implement process improvements in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage the entire accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and month-end close activities. u2022 Supervise and develop the accounts payable team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. u2022 Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices while maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. u2022 Collaborate with Procurement and Operations teams to resolve discrepancies and address vendor inquiries. u2022 Implement and oversee internal controls to ensure proper approval workflows and segregation of duties. u2022 Drive process improvement initiatives, including automation and standardization to enhance efficiency. u2022 Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with 1099 reporting requirements. u2022 Prepare and present accounts payable metrics and reports to finance leadership. u2022 Support audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings. u2022 Monitor and manage the integrity of financial systems related to accounts payable operations.Out Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. u2022 Minimum of 7 years of accounts payable experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role. u2022 Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, internal controls, and compliance standards. u2022 Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Epicor, and proficiency in using AP automation tools. u2022 Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze and report on financial data. u2022 Proven ability to lead and develop teams effectively. u2022 Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail. u2022 Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
