Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients as directed by a radiologist. Reviews patient requisitions and charts with the radiologist before starting exams. Explains the nature of tests to patients to ensure compliance and understanding. Monitors contaminated articles and bed linens using a Geiger counter to prevent the spread of radioactivity. Keeps detailed records of tests conducted, test results, and the usage and disposition of radionuclides and body products containing them.
