The Senior Chaplain in the department of Spiritual Care and Education at MD Anderson Cancer Center provides for the spiritual and emotional needs of patients, their families, and staff and participates as mentor with clinical spiritual education programs and activities as a member of the interdisciplinary team at our Houston Area Locations. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of paid clinical chaplain experience and be a Board-Certified Chaplain. The Department of Spiritual Care and Education at MD Anderson Cancer Center provides spiritual care to patients, caregivers, and staff through assessment, intervention, education, and research. They care for patients and families throughout their continuum of care at their bedside, by receiving prayer requests, leading support groups, and providing bereavement care to offer support and resources to families of patients who have passed away.
