In this role you will:Perform experiments and testing under direction of the project Chemical Process and Test Engineers.Document experimental procedures, safe operating procedures, and job hazard analyses.Analyze and interpret data and report results to broader chemistry and engineering teams.Plan, procure, setup, and commission laboratory and pilot process and test equipment.Perform material characterization using techniques such as ICP-OES, XRD, SEM, etc.Use equipment and instrumentation to monitor and record pressure, temperature, and other process conditions.Assist with literature searches and technical research.Stock and monitor laboratory supplies.Assist and support the Hardware and Chemistry lab.Support quality assurance to ensure results that meet Zeno Power's quality management system.Support EH&S to ensure a safe working environment.Help manage and facilitate chemical waste collection.Assist with instrument and equipment maintenance and calibration.Support Zeno Power's Safety Culture.Key Qualifications and SkillsAssociate's degree or higher in Chemical, Materials or Mechanical Engineering or Sciences from an accredited university2+ years of laboratory, pilot, or other test experienceHands-on experience in chemical engineering, process engineering, materials science, or related fieldExperience working with radioactive materials is a plusAbility to communicate across disciplinesExperience presenting data, analyses, and results to diverse technical and non-technical stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environmentMust be a self-starter and possess the ability to coordinate and lead efforts with minimal directionExcellent research, writing, and oral communication skillsPossess an eagerness to learnJob FunctionsPosition requires in-office presence in Seattle (South Lake Union) Monday-Friday.Travel: Travel may be required, Motor Abilities: Sitting/standing for extended periods, gripping, fine motor control (hands)Physical requirements: Ability to safely lift up to 15 poundsSpecial Senses: Visual and audioWork Conditions: Typing, standing/sitting working environment of >8 hr/dayCompensation and BenefitsThe anticipated pay band for this position is $30-$45/hr. The final job level and compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, years of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, and other business considerations.P
