Biltmore Area Criminal Defense Paralegal

Description We are looking for an experienced criminal defense paralegal to join our mid-sized law firm client's team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in criminal law and a passion for providing outstanding support to attorneys and clients. You will play a critical role in managing case files, coordinating discovery, and ensuring smooth trial preparation. This is an in-office role. Responsibilities: u2022 Organize and manage discovery materials, ensuring timely and accurate handling. u2022 Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including drafting legal documents and coordinating schedules. u2022 Monitor and maintain case files using case management software. u2022 Conduct legal research to support criminal defense litigation. u2022 Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for hearings and court proceedings. u2022 Ensure compliance with all legal procedures and deadlines. u2022 Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel. u2022 Investigate and gather evidence to support case strategies. u2022 Prepare and file legal documents with courts and other relevant parties. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience as a criminal law paralegal in Arizona. u2022 Proficiency in managing discovery and trial preparation. u2022 Familiarity with case management software and legal research tools. u2022 Strong knowledge of criminal defense litigation processes. u2022 Excellent organizational and communication skills. u2022 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. u2022 Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. u2022 Experience in civil litigation is a plus.
