You will beprovided the coaching and training needed throughout the onboarding and orientation process thatwill build from your base of skills acquired from your past experiences.You will learn our business during your training with our experts in Production Planning,Operations, and Supply Chain.If you are excited at the prospect of joining an award winning, high growth, technically relevantorganization this may be the opportunity you.GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITYReporting directly to the Plant Manager US, the Production Planner US will support the schedulingof all production activities within Romet to consistently achieve on time delivery of products andservices within the published Rometpolicies with support of and cross-training with the Master Production Schedulers.Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Assist with demand planning and production scheduling process, support the weekly and long-termproduction plan through knowledge of capacity, resources, efficiency, and changeover times, etc.Plan for the material to come to the United States facility from CanadaPlan production for the INDY plantplanned supply orders to executable work order/jobs per the MRP/MPS planningIdentify discrepancies and mitigate associated risk for meeting committed customer deliverydateEvaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure a production/customer requirement aremetAnalyze production resource requirements and available resources to ensure production schedulesare feasibleFollow Clear to Build (no part shortages) requirements for all daily p oduction planning, andrelease production orders to the manufacturing floor, monitor work in progress (WIP) on theproduction floor, and adjust schedule when required due to material shortages or othermanufacturing interruptionsAssist supply chain in establishing accurate inventory levels (min/max) related to sub-assemblyin supermarket and Kanban locations, and assist in problem-solving, and executing appropriatecountermeasures for deviations from planned inventory levels (min/max stocking violations)Monitor critical process bottlenecks and adjust job scheduling to minimize excess WIPlevelsPrepare production packages and distribute to supervisors, materials team, and commandcenterPrint BOMs, finishing drawings, and work order documentationParticipate in daily production walks and standup meetingsWork closely with production team to expedite requested partsSupport production scheduling meetings with key stake holdersProvide critical information to all stake holders where and when orders will not complete ontime and could affect the customer committed dateGenerate, track and distribute standardized reports, both internal and external for productionscheduling:On time to startOn time shipment - delivery to customer and/or delivery to final assemblyAged workorder/job trackingTimely forward flushing of inventory during job productionBack up for Bill of Material and Routing creation and manage specification/attributes asneededAll other duties as assignedSkills and Qualifications:Demonstrated experience and knowledge of production planning in manufacturing, supply chainmanagement, or a related fieldExperience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision or Business Central ERP system preferred or othersimilar ERP systemProficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills including a drive to workcollaboratively as part of a teamExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailThorough understanding of the business and supply chainMust be a self-starter and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyExperience with the concept of planned, firm and released production orders including use ofplanning work sheets in ERP systemsEducational/Experience Requirements:University Education or a combination of education and or experience related to supply chain,production planning and/or schedulingMinimum of 3 years of previous related experienceCompletion of Supply Chain, Inventory, Scheduling, or Materials Management courses anasset
