We want you to apply Job Summary and Qualifications The Groundskeeper / General Mechanic will + Ensure that all exterior trash containers on the grounds and parking lots/decks are emptied and clean. + Perform regular sweeps of the parking lot/decks to keep clean of all debris including parking deck stairwells and elevator foyer at red deck. + Perform rounds at least quarterly on all mechanical rooms, roofs, and central plant to maintain clean and organized appearance. + Keep loading dock and open dumpster area clear of wooden pallets. Dispose of in dumpster. + Clean Plant Operations shop area, sweep and empty trash. + Monitor maintenance needs around exterior of building while performing regular rounds and report needed repairs to supervisor. + During inclement weather conditions assist with spreading of ice melt along walkways, etc. + Assist other trades when needed (plumbing, mechanical, hvac, etc.) + Assist with clean up during emergency maintenance repairs performed by maintenance. + Stock and organize supply and material shipments in warehouse. + Report any problems with equipment or supplies to immediate supervisor. + 75% of the work will be performed outside Qualifications u00b7 High school or Trade School graduation required u00b7 General mechanic and/or grounds experience is preferred, preferably in a commercial environment Established in 1974, Henrico Doctors' Hospital is a 340-bed community hospital offering cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, oncology, physical therapy, women's services and a 24/7 emergency department.
