Equipment Mechanic

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Equipment Mechanic will be based out of our YardOperations in Cottage Grove, WI. Responsibilities include: Repairconstruction equipment in shop and onsite as needed. Troubleshoot,diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems on ourconstruction equipment, inclusive of rough terrain forklifts, boomlifts, generators, skid loaders, and other construction supportequipment. Perform routine preventative maintenance and safetyinspections on equipment. Maintain detailed and accurate service recordsof all repairs and maintenance performed. Ensure all repairs andmaintenance follow OSHA, DOT, and manufacturer standards. Manage partsinventory, order new parts and track usage. Welding, fabricating andrebuilding equipment components as needed. Test equipment to verifysuccess of repairs. Use basic computer skills to look up parts,schematics, and equipment manuals. Maintain a safe and orderly workingarea. Collaborate with Yard Operations teammates, drivers and fieldcrews to address equipment needs quickly. Communicate with Yard Foreman& Superintendent regarding major repairs, downtime and budget needs.Follow all safety rules, regulations and practices in performing allwork assignments. OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: 5+years' experience with heavy construction equipment repairs A validdriver's license and a clean driving record are required to meetcompany insurance standards. CDL is a plus Must provide own in-shoptools Working knowledge of diesel mechanics Proficient in diagnosingelectrical, mechanical and hydraulic issues Demonstrated ability to workindependently with minimal supervision while staying motivated tocomplete tasks efficiently Ability to consistently work 45 hours a weekAbility to lift, move, or carry material up to 50lbs on a consistentbasis Welding/fabrication experience is a plus APPLICATIONINSTRUCTIONS: Apply Online:
