Fire Suppression Technician

JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of the Fire SuppressionTechnician is to provide installation, inspection, service and/or repairof Fire Extinguishers and any Pre-Engineered Suppression Systems.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Use required tools and test equipment such aspower machine groovers, cutters, band saws, lifts, etc. to repair orreplace fire extinguishers, pre-engineered systems. Comprehensiveworking knowledge of NFPA codes, standards, and systems such as alltypes of fire extinguishers, pre-engineered suppression systems and/orfire alarm & security systems. Troubleshoot and identify defectivecomponents of pre-engineered suppression systems. Repair or replacedamaged components of pre-engineered suppression systems as well as fireextinguishers Communicate with internal and external customers in aprofessional manner. Required to be punctual to required work locationsand complete scheduled projects in timely manner. Use Field ServiceLightning to track work orders, materials needed, time on job, plete documentation on work orders. Understand and follow SFP'sSafety program, SDS book, Hazardous communication program, policies andprocedures. Participate in weekly Toolbox talks. Employee must alwaysknow location all related safety documentation on each project. Ensurecompany provided vehicle is clean and well maintained as required bycompany policies. Periodically attend seminars or similareducation/training sessions to stay abreast of latest technology, codes,and standards changes. Train service technician trainees in allapplicable aspects of this job description. Communicate with internaland external customers in a professional manner. Other duties may beassigned.
