The UW Health Medical Director ofPerioperative Services, Anesthesia serves as one of three permanentco-chairs of the Surgical and Procedural Operations Council (SPOC). SPOCis a UW Health Clinical Service Council (CSC) whose decision-makingauthority is delegated by the CEO Direct Reports (CDR). The SPOCco-chairs are responsible for the integration and alignment of surgicaland procedural operations across the UW Health system to increasepatient safety, satisfaction, efficiency, throughput and margins.
