Carpenter Journeyman

JOB REQUIREMENTS: SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a CarpenterJourneyman that will be responsible for providing skilled craftsmanshipfor installation of formwork, finish carpentry and drywall.RESPONSIBILITIES Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans todetermine material requirements and measure dimensions Perform concreteand rough carpentry (hand set walls, footings, gang wall forms,structural concrete decks, slabs, columns, drywall) Set door frames,hang doors, and install hardware Complete finish carpentry tasks (toiletaccessories, handrails, corner guards, partitions, lockers, cabinets,countertops, wall paneling, coffered ceilings, running trim) Buildrelationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizationallevels Perform all other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS High schooldiploma or GED Completion of apprenticeship program Union specifictraining Ability to work with precision, visualize solid objects fromdrawings, read plans, and operate equipment (table saws, radial armsaws, belt & disc sanders, drill presses, fall protection equipment,rigging, and form systems) Strong teamwork orientation, positiveattitude, professional customer service skills, detail orientation, andeffective communication including active listening and openness todiverse input and feedback Repetitive hand, arm, leg movementsLifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
