Job Summary: Diagnose, maintenance, and repair problems on the major components and systems such as:Diesel EngineBrake SystemTransmissionAir SystemDifferentialElectrical SystemPerform, repair, and preventative maintenance work on the following items, both tractor and trailer:BrakesCabEngineFifth WheelTransmissionDelivery EquipmentSuspensionsAC and Air SystemsClutchTires/Axles/WheelsOther Responsibilities:Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with major componentsMaintain accurate records of P.M. services and repair workPerform occasional road serviceSchedule work through the shop to maintain P.M. schedule, scheduled repair work, and State and Federal vehicle inspectionsOversee repair work done by outside vendorsPerform running repairs, P.M. services, State and Federal Inspections Tractors, Trailers, and Straight Trucks Requirements:Working knowledge of the systems and components listed aboveExperience dealing with parts and service vendorsMaintaining vehicle maintenance records, state inspections and P.M. schedulingMust have a HS diploma or GEDClass A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (Must agree to obtain within one year of hire date)Minimum of three years of experience in heavy truck and trailer maintenance and repair Apply At:
