We are excited to announce that we are seeking an Event Manager to join our team What will I be doing? The Event Manager will be responsible for servicing corporate and convention groups with attached guestrooms. This role will manage a diverse mix of programs, ranging from small groups to large conventions, including resort buyouts with peak nights up to 496 rooms. In addition, the position may support select social events without guestrooms, as assigned. The primary focus of this role is the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate and convention group events. Specifically, your essential functions will be to perform the following tasks to the highest standards: u2022 Organize, plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals. u2022 Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person. u2022 Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations. u2022 Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, systems, and processes. u2022 Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts. u2022 Selling and influencing both internal and external clients. u2022 Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution. u2022 Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed. u2022 Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary. u2022 Other duties as necessary based on business needs. u2022 Regular attendance.
