Description We are looking for a dedicated Employment Attorney to join our team in San Francisco, California. This role involves working closely with employer clients to manage employment-related litigation and provide proactive legal guidance to prevent potential disputes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in employment law and demonstrate strong skills in litigation, legal research, and client representation. Responsibilities: u2022 Represent employer clients in single plaintiff employment litigation cases, both in court and arbitration. u2022 Investigate claims and defenses, assess liability and damages, and create effective case strategies. u2022 Perform comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case development. u2022 Draft legal documents, including letters, memos, motions, pleadings, and discovery requests. u2022 Conduct and defend depositions as part of case preparation. u2022 Advocate for clients during court proceedings, hearings, mediations, and trials or arbitrations. u2022 Maintain clear and consistent communication with partners, associates, paralegals, clients, and opposing counsel. u2022 Ensure a minimum of 1850 billable hours annually. u2022 Respond to administrative charges and handle cases involving wage and hour matters as needed. Requirements u2022 Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. u2022 Active California bar admission and good standing. u2022 Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, with a strong preference for an employment law background. u2022 Exceptional writing skills and keen attention to detail. u2022 Effective verbal communication abilities and a team-oriented mindset. u2022 Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Solid understanding of current state and federal legal procedures. u2022 Experience with court appearances, depositions, and mediations; trial experience is a plus but not mandatory.
