The community youu2019ll be caring for: AdventHealth Medical Group Carrollwood The role youu2019ll contribute: The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner functions as a member of the medical care management team for physician practice patients (Cardiology). The ARNP may diagnose medical conditions, plan and implement treatment collaboratively agreed to in the Florida Hospital Physician Group medical staff delineation of clinical privileges for Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners. Depending on the practice, ARNP may be required to take practice call. The value youu2019ll bring to the team: PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : u00b7 Provide services similar to those of a physician. u00b7 Examine patients, take medical histories, maintain patient records, identify health risk factors, prescribe medications, make referrals and otherwise treat health conditions. u00b7 Sees patients in the outpatient practice setting. u00b7 Assists with in-office procedures with physician and or may perform minor procedures independently. u00b7 Reads and interprets electrocardiograms. u00b7 Interrogation and adjustment to pacemaker settings in collaboration with Cardiologist. u00b7 Provide post-procedural follow-up care in the outpatient practice setting. u00b7 Interpret, monitor and adjust anticoagulation therapy. u00b7 Supervision of nuclear stress tests and treadmill stress tests in the outpatient practice setting. u00b7 Will diagnose and treat in collaboration with the supervising Cardiologist, adult cardiovascular patients in addition to a variety of chronic health conditions including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia etc. u00b7 Will follow care plans developed by/with supervising Cardiologist. u00b7 Communicates with courtesy when interacting with internal or external patients and customersu2014in person or on the telephone. u00b7 Exhibits respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships within the practice and other departments. u00b7 Demonstrate Florida Hospitalu2019s Core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork through daily interactions with patients and their families, and with the medical staff. u00b7 Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations and identifying any medical conditions. u00b7 Obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories of patients. u00b7 Determines abnormalities by administering and/or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies. u00b7 Interpreting test results of patients. u00b7 Able to provide pre and post-procedural care, if applicable. u00b7 Instructs and counsels patients. u00b7 Document patient care services by charting in the patient and department records. u00b7 Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans. u00b7 Focus on patient wellness and disease prevention. u00b7 Provide health education services and/or counsel patients on how to make healthy lifestyle choices. u00b7 Will need to work weekdays and potentially take practice some evenings and weekends. u00b7 Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. u00b7 Proactively support a culture of safety and quality to protect our patients and employees. u00b7 Honoru2019s patientu2019s rights by following privacy guidelines, HIPAA, and code of ethics with our patients, physicians, co-workers, and guests. u00b7 Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation. u00b7 Demonstrates commitment to professional and personal growth, i.e. completes all mandatory educational requirements, maintains certifications, attend continuing education courses/seminars, and acts as designated preceptor. u00b7 Contributes to a physicianu2019s effectiveness by being part of the team, identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed; and help develop the staff by providing information, educational opportunities and growth opportunities. u00b7 May attend hospital conferences specific to the specialty of Cardiology. Qualifications - External The expertise and experiences youu2019ll need to succeed: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: u00b7 MSN (Masteru2019s of Nursing) u00b7 Minimum of 3 yearsu2019 experience as a RN in the Cardiology setting u00b7 Provides direct care with licensing credentials under the auspices of supervising MD.
