Job#: 3018361Job Description:Position DetailsThe position functions as a senior information technology analyst responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing a variety of automated data warehouse applications located on the client's Teradata Data Warehouse platform. The position will represent the team and coordinate team activities with other data warehouse teams on complex, multi-team projects. In addition, the position will work with other data warehouse developers to review existing data warehouse policies and practices, modify them as needed, or propose new polices or practices.u00a0Knowledge of SQL, Business Intelligence tools, and experience with the relational database is required to help develop and maintain data warehouse ETL and queries.u00a0CANDIDATES WILL BE EVALUATED ON THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:Required Skills:u00b7 Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical studyu00b7 6+ Years Creating Data Warehouse BI applications including ETL/data mart development, reporting, dashboards and other information analysis and delivery system.u00b7 2+ Years Child Welfare Services, Juvenile Justice, Juvenile services, or other related experienceAdditional Skills:u00b7 Experience with PMM/SUITE/Agile methodologyu00b7 SQL Assistant/Teradata Studio Experience, BI applicationsu00b7 End user training experienceu00b7 Must be able to work independently with little directionsu00b7 Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with programmers, analysts, immediate supervisor, management, system users, operations, other State agencies and the private sector.u00b7 Meet with users for clarification and elaboration as may be necessary to clearly define a problem and conceptualize a development plan.u00b7 Recognize, gather, correlate, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, define problems, and devise solutions and alternatives and make appropriate recommendations.u00b7 Experience working with Data Modelers and developers, facilitating modification of the logical design to create a physical design most suited to the reporting needs of the customer.u00b7 Ability to design applications taking into consideration data reconciliation, (to the source system) query/reporting performance, and analytical business value.u00b7 With the Business Analyst, presents the information gathered to the Project Review Board and/or Project Sponsors during project review meetings, project workgroups and to the Technical Review Board providing clarification and answers to questions.u00b7 Consult with agency clients to explain complex IT processes and solutions, developing and maintaining an effective communication plan with agency clients relating to project level metrics, bureau level project reporting, etc.u00b7 Assist Architect or DBA to draft technical database model that:o Complies with audit separation of duty requirement.o Captures requirements of data elementso Designs data elements to best meet application needso Reviews and approves updates to systems documentation.u00b7 Gather, review, and analyze potential impacts of changes and inform management and supported client agency of impact and risks to existing IT solutions due to proposed legislation, enhancement requests, changes in government requests, changes in governmental processes or procedures.u00b7 Provide professional technical expertise to the Managers and client agency managers and supervisors in IT project estimating, and budgeting.u00b7 Serves as a team lead and resource, directing the code development, providing advice and guidance to other development staff.u00b7 Evaluate and identify opportunities for programming process or tools standardization.u00b7 Perform disaster recovery
