Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflightThis role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, maintainers, and engineers, you will help to enable new spaceflight designs by supporting the production of Metallic Additively Manufactured (AM) components. Our team uses process development, root cause and corrective action, and continuous improvement to drive Blue Origin's mission. Our team achieves this by bringing new machines, materials, processing methods, and support equipment to a production state.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Understand the AM value stream from start to finish including printing, post processing, thermal processing, and inspectionResearch, onboard and production harden new processes and equipment to increase quality, efficiency, and reduce overall cost of the AM work centerLead root cause investigation of issues with machines and manufacturing to then work with operations, maintenance, and outside vendors to implement solutionsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's or higher in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or a related technical fieldExperience authoring and developing manufacturing processes to improve end productProven background in the troubleshooting of industrial processes and/or equipment using root cause analysisExperience working in aerospace or similar fields requiring a QMS or adhering to Industry Specifications2+ years of professional experience with 3D printing, castings, forgings, and/or weldingPreferred Qualifications:Experience with fabrication methods (i.e.. machining, sheet metal, carbon fiber manufacturing, riveting, heat treatment, etc.)3+ years of experience in aerospace, medical device manufacturing or a related fieldExperience with quality management (i.e.. AS9100 or ISO 9001)Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training or certificationCompensation Range for:WA applicants is $91,852.00 - $128,592.45Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
