Job Description

Description We are looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join our team in the Twin Cities. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting risk-based audits to ensure the effectiveness of financial, operational, and compliance processes. You will collaborate with various business units to analyze processes, assess risks, and test controls, while championing corporate governance and internal control concepts. This position also involves coordinating with external auditors and regulatory bodies and contributing to the development of the internal audit plan. Responsibilities: u2022 Conduct risk-based audits to evaluate financial, operational, and compliance processes. u2022 Collaborate with business units to document and analyze processes, assess risks, and test controls. u2022 Develop and update audit programs based on risk assessment methodologies. u2022 Perform walkthroughs of business processes and review or create process documentation. u2022 Evaluate the design and effectiveness of controls to ensure they meet intended objectives. u2022 Identify key risks and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate them. u2022 Prepare concise audit reports and communicate findings to stakeholders. u2022 Coordinate engagements with third-party auditors and regulatory bodies. u2022 Test controls to support organizational compliance with regulatory requirements. u2022 Monitor and follow up on the resolution of audit findings and recommendations. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in auditing, risk management, or related fields. u2022 Extensive experience in Banking as a Service (BaaS). u2022 Proficiency in managing complex audit projects and providing oversight to co-sourced or outsourced audit teams. u2022 Strong knowledge of audit standards, methodology, and documentation practices. u2022 Ability to analyze and address moderate to complex issues with critical thinking and attention to detail. u2022 Advanced understanding of industry trends and risk mitigation strategies. u2022 Effective communication skills with the ability to influence across organizational levels. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
