Contact us today u2013 weu2019re waiting to hear from you Job Responsibilities As a Staff Accountant at the Corporate level, you will apply accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Your specific duties in this role will include:u2022 Prepare various financial statements, including Profit & Loss by working with the hotel(s) leadershipu2022 Respond to hotel requests and inquiries with the appropriate level of sensitivity and immediacy while upholding business goals.u2022 Prepare and monitor daily Income Journal entriesu2022 Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reportsu2022 Review expenditures in accordance with budgetsu2022 Monitor inventory levels and advise management of variancesu2022 Reconcile balance sheet accountsu2022 Maintain fixed asset recordsu2022 Assist with bank statement reconciliationu2022 Assist in preparation of year-end audit schedules for independent auditorsu2022 Assist with NYS Sales & Use Tax and Hotel Occupancy tax filings Job Requirements We are seeking a self-motivated Staff Accountant with a strong work ethic and a drive to exceed expectations. It is also important that you have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Specific qualifications for the role include: u2022 1 to 2 yearsu2019 experience in accounting (hotel accounting preferred) u2022 Bachelor's degree (B.
