Rollins St., Suite 125, Orlando, FL 32804 Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm + Promotes, advocates, and collaborates to protect the health, safety, and rights of each patient. Identifies resources, provides information, and supports patients and families regarding the impact of genetic diagnosis. + Communicates patient information to medical providers. + Obtains appropriate informed consent for gene testing. + Provides counseling in-person, by telephone, and/or telehealth based on patient and facility needs. + Counsels patients regarding risks, need for gene testing, and treatment options. Performs patient risk assessments in an accurate, compassionate, and informative manner. + Develops and conducts educational sessions and in-services for professional staff, including physicians and the general public. + Documents all patient care activities, including assessments/evaluations, recommendations, and patient response per standards of practice and regulatory/third-party payer requirements.
