Responsibilities: u2022 Assist with developing comprehensive documentation that is in alignment with organizational standards. u2022 Translate complex information into simple, polished, and engaging content. u2022 Produce user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights into language that sets users up for success. u2022 Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement. u2022 Research, outline, write and edit new and existing content, working with various departments to understand project requirements. u2022 Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize and write procedure manuals, technical specifications and document processes. Qualifications: _Required:_ u2022 Secret Clearance required. u2022 Minimum Educational Requirements: Shall possess a Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, journalism or other relevant technical field. u2022 Minimum experience: In addition to the education requirements above, Technical Writer must have a minimum of 4 years industry experience as an effective technical writer. u2022 Education Equivalency: As a substitute, 4 years industry experience as an effective technical writer. Education Equivalency experience is in addition to the minimum experience of the labor category. u2022 Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and time management skills. u2022 Experience working with subject matter experts (SMEs) and business leads to understand their requirements and present creative concepts. u2022 Highly organized with ability to successfully run multiple projects simultaneously and work independently with little supervision. _Desired:_ u2022 Working knowledge of current Navy standards for inspections and assessments of readiness, material condition and safety of Naval vessels. u2022 Prior experience in government/defense industry is a plus - ________________________________________________________________________________________ What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.
