Theideal candidate will hold a Doctoral degree in Marriage and FamilyTherapy or closely related field with successful teaching experience, belicense-eligible as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Kansas and be anAAMFT Approved Supervisor or Supervisor Candidate. The MSFT degreeis accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marital and FamilyTherapy Education (COAMFTE) of the American Association for Marriage andFamily Therapy (AAMFT) with the most recent accreditation renewalcompleted in 2018. (The MSFT Program in Wichita has completed all stepstoward reaccreditation including a virtual site visit by COAMFTE in2025).EXPECTATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIESThe person selected for this position will receive a 9-month contract tofulfill the duties of a core faculty member for the Wichita program.MSFTfaculty outcomes include meeting University faculty role expectationsfor teaching, scholarship, and service, reflecting interpersonalcompetency in the interaction with the program students, colleagues andstakeholders, making contribution to engaging diversity throughinstruction, supervision, and program development, and aiding the MSFTprogram effectiveness, and advancing the practice and profession of MFT.Ideally, this candidate will consider preparing to serve a future role12-month position as the program Clinical Director.Assignments in teaching are based upon the candidates expertise,credentials and the divisions specific curricular needs. In addition toteaching, the candidate will provide clinical supervision of students.The successful candidate will also be expected to participate inrecruiting prospective students for the Master of Science in FamilyTherapy program.As a core faculty member, the successful candidate will play a key rolein student mentoring and advising.
