Weu2019re hiring an Assistant General Manageru00a0at our Old Town location The Assistant General Manager supports the GM to oversee the entire shop and acts as the General Manager while the GM is away from the store, including kitchen operations, front of house service, the continued development and growth of your team, and the overall profitability of the shop. The AGM is always guest-, food-, and team-focused, while being a quick thinker, a problem-solver, a skilled communicator, and a motivator. As an AGM, youu2019ll be an enthusiastic leader for your team, lead by example, and hold yourself and all team members accountable for their performance and product output through our CYM Values (u201cVIBESu201d).u00a0 A day in the life of CYM AGM: + Overseeing daily operations of your shop while acting as the manager-on-duty -- from preparing the shop to open, executing service, to closing; all at the highest level + Proactively solving any problems that arise at the shop and taking initiative to keep the shop running at its best, most efficient capacity always + Manage and lead, shop and kitchen supervisors, and team members to ensure the best service is provided to our guests in alignment with CYM core values + Work with supervisors and hourly team members to create a positive, efficient work environment for the whole team + Supporting Call Your Motheru2019s high operational standards by continuing to hold yourself and your team members to the provided checklists, recipe specs, and other standardized tools + Manage maintenance and upkeep of all equipment and the shopu2019s surroundings -- trash pick ups, linens, deep cleaning and/or storage organization + Continued focus on all ServeSafe food safety standards and commitment to shop safety + Collaborate with GM to oversee food and beverage management, including inventory, ordering, and budget with regard to food, beverage and labor goals + Collaborate with GM on recruiting, hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluation of team members + Work with GM to confirm that scheduling each shift and position is covered at its best ability.u00a0 If there is an issue (call-outs, emergency), the manager is on-call to solve it in the best interest of the shop + Working in the shop 5 days a week (at least one of which is a Saturday or a Sunday) As a CYM team member, youu2019ll make an impact by: + Creating extraordinary moments for guests + Contributing to our business with your ideas and feedback + Supporting and lifting up our communities and neighborhoods + Mentoring and developing your staff + Being yourself and making genuine relationships with other team members and guests Youu2019ll be a great addition to the CYM team if you: + Have at least 1 year of experience in a restaurant management role + Have a foundational understanding of: P&L, cost of goods sold, labor/scheduling, training & team development, food quality standards + Have ServeSafe Manageru2019s Food Safety Certification or willingness to obtainu00a0 + Can coordinate multiple tasks such as food and labor cost while maintaining required standards of operation in daily shop activities + Are hospitality-oriented and hold a passion for the guest experience + Believe in a hands-on managing style and are willing to lead by example + Take initiative; youu2019re proactive, and can think of the big picture + Have high-energy, positive can-do attitude that thrives in fast-paced environment + Treat others with kindness and respect + Align with our core values of Vibrancy, Integrity, Energy, Belonging and Seizing the Moment + Are a team player and always willing to help others + Work calmly and effectively under pressure; seek to solve problems + Communicate clearly and efficiently; Proven coaching and leadership skills for a diverse staffu00a0 + Can work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and holidays.u00a0 Youu2019ll love working at CYM because: + Starting salary: $60,000 and a 10% bonus opportunity + Exciting opportunities for growth and development With CYMu2019s continued expansion, this role offers a strong foundation to grow your leadership skills and take the next step in your career. + Great people, real support, and incredible VIBES.
