Eatonu2019s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician II - 1st Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $36.00 per hour. The hours for this shift are 5:30 am - 2:00 pm. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What youu2019ll do: PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position performs skilled journey-level work in the construction, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment, apparatus and fixtures used within an Aerospace/Industrial manufacturing site ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: u2022 Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains electrical distribution systems including electric motors, electric controls, fire alarms, and clock systems u2022 Installs, troubleshoots and repairs new equipment and systems, including all manufacturing/assembly equipment (CNC Mills, Lathes, Drills) and programmable lighting controls u2022 Ensures site fire alarms and emergency electrical systems are operational; performs certification testing on alarm systems u2022 Maintains electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at the county, state and federal levels u2022 Monitors work done by outside contractors for adherence to National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and reports back to Supervisor u2022 Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools (both hand and power) u2022 Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLCu2019s u2022 Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system u2022 Demonstrate mechanical knowledge u2022 Assists in the writing of specifications for repairs and new construction u2022 Perform work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures u2022 Perform rigging activities, safety-related functions and other miscellaneous electrical functions u2022 Safely utilize a forklift and high lift u2022 Assists in the writing of specifications for repairs and new construction u2022 Comply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. u2022 Keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards. u2022 Performs other work related duties as assigned u2022 Must be able to work flexible hours Qualifications: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution Basic knowledge of electronic theory as applied to electrical and electronic circuits, wiring and electrical equipment used in power generation Ability to install, troubleshoot and repair new equipment and systems, including all manufacturing/assembly equipment (CNC Mills, Lathes, Drills) and programmable lighting controls Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools (both hand and power) Demonstrate mechanical knowledge Performs other work related duties as assigned (plumbing / general facility repairs) Must be able to work flexible hours PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS u2022 Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLCu2019s u2022 Knowledge of air compressors and pressure vessels u2022 Proficient in preventative maintenance database management u2022 Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system #IND123 #LI-SB2 PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, squat, reach to or below shoulder level, lift, carry, push, pull, and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is frequently required to climb and reach above shoulder level. The employee is also required to exert 50 to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and / or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and /or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
