Title: Senior Software Engineer (IBM ITX SME) Location: Mostly remote Onsite: Reston, VA (3-4 times per year) Duration: 12-month contract to hire Contact: PURPOSE The Senior Software Engineer performs complex analysis, design, and development for a highly visible, mission-critical Claims application. This role serves as the Technical Subject Matter Expert for the IBM Transformation Extender (ITX) product suite, balancing new development with high-priority production support. The successful candidate will design and optimize complex data mappings that support tens of thousands of users in a high-volume healthcare environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS + Map Design & Software Development (50%) + Serve as the Lead SME for IBM Transformation Extender (ITX) and ITX Advanced (ITXA), focusing on complex map design and development. + Enhance and maintain existing ITX mappings to accommodate constant business changes and evolving healthcare regulations. + Design, code, and test critical application programs, ensuring seamless integration across multiple platforms, including Mainframe and Product teams. + Develop and extend ITX Trust APIs and support various integration patterns required by cross-functional teams. + Healthcare Compliance & Standards (25%) + Utilize the ITX Healthcare Pack to implement industry-specific integrations for HL7, HIPAA, and FHIR standards. + Manage schema design and data transformation optimization to ensure accurate and compliant healthcare data exchanges. + Draft and execute structured automated test cases, specifically coordinating with testing teams to validate HIPAA/HL7 compliance. + DevOps & Agile Operations (25%) + Deploy mappings and code via modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps standards. + Participate strictly in the Agile process, including product scoping, roadmap discussions, and sprint ceremonies across multiple Agile teams. + Provide high-level technical support for critical
